DCI Microscopy has developed a NIST-traceable calibration slide for the ASTM E112 Grain Size measurement method. This slide will allow your quality control lab to validate the accuracy of your grain size measurements performed by image analysis on light microscopy-based systems. A certificate is supplied with the nominal value, and the measured value by both the planimetric and the Heyn method.
Based on the ASTM E112 Plate 1 Grain Size charts.

- Hexagons-like grains to give the closest theoretical rating to the nominal value as possible
